The fact that it’s been so long since our last news update is not our style, sorry. Unfortunately, this was unavoidable, as some things were up in the air. It doesn’t please us, but we have to announce this…
In the economic crisis, the madness of illegal downloads, or just plain bad luck. Whatever the reason, even if it’s not our direct fault, we’ve been caught up in it all.
Due to the insolvency of our German distributor *SPV*,at this very moment all of our production and distribution of audio and visual recordings as well as our upcoming releases are on hold. Unfortunately this means the Broilers “The Anti Archives” DVD and the Toxpack “Epidemie” releases must be put on ice as well, if only for a short while.
Is this the end or collapse of People Like You? Fuck off, we’ve been through even worse times before, and PLY will be back in your face in the very near future, we’re already setting up our new plans, but until everything is official we need to ride out this current storm. But rest assured, we’ll be back harder, strong and more powerful and pissed off than ever!
As soon as we have a 100% confirmed release date for the upcoming products, you’ll be the first to know.

I know that most of you are sick of the man, but I can’t get enough of that Nick 13 sometimes. He’s got a small following on twitter and he’s looking for input for those of you that are going to attend LA’s OCtoberflame gigs. He is also looking for some much needed inspiration for his new country record that I told you folks about quite some time ago. The guys and gals in Toxic Zombie are having a Zombie Carwash Experience and need YOUR help:
We’ve got a date for our Zombie Carwash Experience, August 29th. And it’s gonna be at the Clackamas Guitar Center. If you would be willing to come out and help us raise money to record an album, we need zombies and sexy girls or any combo of both. Every person that helps us out will get their name in the liner notes of our cd when we are done recording it and a free copy of the CD! As well anyone who helps after the car wash there will be a private party after words for us all to hang out and I will bbq up some zombie grub! The wash will be from 1pm to 7pm, we will also be performing a set or two that day in front of Guitar Center! Guitar Center will also be giving away a guitar. Oh and the last thing while we are raising money to record a portion of the profits from the day will go to charity…

I know we have some fans of the AZ ghoul rockers Calabrese out there so I got a special grab bag of news about these guys. Check it:
* For the whole month of August, any order over $20 will receive a signed promo photo from the band via their official website.
* The release date for the new CD had been pushed back to January, 2010 (it just happens to be the end of the world!) In addition, we tricked Eric Powell (The Goon) into creating the artwork for the album cover.
* We need your help to name the 3rd Calabrese CD in this trilogy of horror rock terror. We need a really great title, but we have other album ideas to think about…so we are outsourcing this decision to you! You have until October 30th, 2009 to send as many CD titles to CDContest@CalabreseRock.com for us to review. The winner will receive a liner note credit in the album, and a signed drum skin used in the recording of the CD! The winning title will be announced October 31st, 2009…Halloween Night!
