The Pepper Pots from Catalonia (Spain) bring us a very tasty morsel of music in tha Ska type variety. I know ska isn’t what we usually hendle here, but these guys (& gals) deserve a good listen. Their particular brand of music is a very interesting blend. If Jamaican music is your thing, then you definately want this CD. If it’s not, you’ll still want to give it a listen. What drew me in was the Motown tributes that this band has to offer. Being a fan of Motown Records since I was a kid, this band had me hooked from the start of their performance. The Pepper Pots damn sure have a special knack for putting their own twist on the material that they cover, & the original material falls nothing short of spectacular as far as this type of music goes. The vocals are absollutely amazing. I couldn’t believe such huge voices were coming out of these gals! There are three lead female vocalists; all of which have amazing talent that seem to be a perfect match to the music. It’s hard to single out individuals in the band because there are eleven members, but I can vouch that together they make beautiful music.

Due to an overwhelming response from bands recently, I’m WAY behind on my reviews…you can expect two reviews a week for a little while before I post another interview. That’s the plan, anyway. Keep up the good work, y’all. We’re growing everyday, but we ain’t stoppin’ here. Spread the disease, kids!
